This is the second part of our series on Overcoming Anxiety.  It’s a series that is for any woman, mom or homeschooling mom, so please share and don’t forget to listen all the way to the end of this podcast.  There’s a song waiting for you there.  Close your eyes and let the Holy Spirit wash over you and refresh your spirit!

Anxiety can be debilitating or, at the very least, distracting.  God wants us to find courage in Him and the good things He has for us.  I firmly believe that He uses anxiety to get our attention and as we slow our hearts to listen to Him, He begins to bring redemption to many areas of our lives.

As we remember His great love for us and yield to His plan for our lives, we have the privilege of watching Him give beauty for ashes.

Beauty for Ashes by Chris McClarney- Read the words as you listen to the closing song:

God of the new beginnings
God of the second chance
Your grace an endless river
Your love an avalanche
There in my darkest moment
All hope burnt to the ground
That’s where Your mercy found me
That’s when Your love came down

You turned my mourning into dancing
You turned my sorrow into praise

(You give me) beauty for ashes beauty for ashes
You give me beauty for ashes beauty for ashes

Love met me in the ruins
Of all my past mistakes
Love walked me to the river
Love broke apart these chains
Love spoke a new tomorrow
Opened my eyes to see
Love washed away this sadness
Love came and rescued me

Oh (I) thank You God
I’m overwhelmed by Your incredible love
You make ev’rything new
Oh (I) thank You God
For all You’ve done and yet to do
Oh You make ev’rything new
