This little book has resonated with so many homeschooling moms! It’s a simple, mercifully short book on homeschooling(about an hour long read).
About 2 years ago, my husband suggested that I write a book on homeschooling. I laughed because I really did think it was funny! Homeschooling for our family has been simple, so I doubted that anyone would want to read about it. My husband told me that was EXACTLY the reason I should write about it.
It took a few months before I actually started believing this might be a good idea. I wrote and then set it aside for several months. Finally that fall I decided it was time to get serious and try to finish what was on my heart to say.
Several months, an editor and layout designer later, it was published! Much to my surprise, after two days on Amazon, it was rated #1 in several categories!
The most important thing to me, though, is that parents are being encouraged to relax and enjoy these precious years at home with their kids. If homeschooling isn’t enjoyable most of the time, it might be a good idea to pause and reflect on why.
Whether you are a seasoned homeschooler, a newbie, or somewhere in between, I think you’ll be encouraged to keep the big picture in mind so you can slow down and savor this journey.
Jane Lambert, author of Five in a Row had this to say: “The Unhurried Homeschooler provides a friendly, non-intimidating road map for homeschoolers looking for the big picture. Wilson’s writing contains the wisdom gleaned from ore than 20 yers of homeschooling experience and her words will help homeschoolers calm down, take a deep breath and pursue their homeschooling journey with confidence.”
You can get the book on Kindle or in print at Amazon here.
